Established in the fall of 2003, this community was designed specifically for people in the early to middle stages of Alzheimer’s AND their families.
Our 50,000 square foot building will soon feel like home! It's is made up of six neighborhoods, four of which are dedicated for memory care, with 10–11 private apartments each. To feel at home, each neighborhood has a kitchen, a family-style dining room, a living room, a washer/dryer, and a whirlpool bath. Those are the things you see. What you don’t see is truly what sets us apart.
It’s called the Vigil Dementia Monitoring System and calls for assistance when residents are unable to do so; helping caregivers provide care when and where it is needed. There’s nothing for the resident to wear. It’s all done through sensors.
And that’s just the neighborhoods. Outside those, you’ll find a community room/chapel, a 50’s diner, a beauty/barber shop, and a beautiful dining area with a deck that overlooks the largest of our three courtyards!
Our gardens and landscaping were meticulously developed by Master Gardener Jane English, with evidence-based integration of plants, trees in hardscapes and softscapes specifically designed for older adults' engagement and interest.
We realize making the transition from your family’s care to someone else’s isn’t easy, so we included “Transitions Day Program.” This program is designed to ease the stress and worry of those caring for a loved one at home. Day services are available night or day. Activities here are similar to the ones offered in the neighborhoods.
Living with memory loss is not easy for anyone. We are here to ease the anxiety, inspire joy and live one moment at a time, with you.
